The worlds attitude to meat seems to be on the change and the UK's is no exception as we also seem to be dramatically swapping our meat for meat-free options.
The UK now has around 3.5million people that are Vegan and this trend seems to be rising.
So what exactly is Meat-Free food?
Well meat-free foods tend to be split into 2 types;
1; Meat Alternatives, these usually consist of oats, grains, rice and vegetable products.
2; Meat Analogues, these are mostly vegetable protein based which are manufactured to look like real meat products such as burgers and sausages. They are made from Myco-protien, Soya, Pulses or Cereals.
So why the change to Meat-Free alternatives?
Well according to experts, they say by the year 2050 the developed world will need to reduce their meat consumption by 50 percent.
